{open house} Title I Parent Night Performances
Williamsburg students often give music and dance presentations during the annual Title I parent nights. One year the second grade demonstrated a super Car Wash bucket routine, the first grade danced to the traditional La Raspa (Mexican Hat Dance), and the fourth grade presented a scene from the hit Broadway musical Annie.
{choir} Annual Christmas Show
The annual Christmas show is a celebration of music and dance featuring one of the upper grades. The Reidsville Middle School seventh grade band joins us during the evening show. Our group presents two daytime shows for the Williamsburg students, as well as a tour in the community to celebrate the holidays.
{dancers} Music Room Studies
Our third, fourth, and fifth grade students explore various time periods and styles of music. After studying a style of music, the students dress up in various outfits and costumes of that period. Many times the students create and design their own outfit. The third grade learns about the 1970s, the fourth grade studies the 1950s and the fifth grade goes back to the 1940s. Each grade level explores a hit Broadway musical: third grade - The Wiz; fourth grade - Annie; and fifth grade - Cats.
