A Message From Our Principal
As principal of Bethany Elementary School, I am honored to serve at such an inviting school; rich in heritage, community involvement and student progress.
I feel that I am a true Rockingham County Native. I was born and raised here and am dedicated to working for Rockingham County Schools and Communities. I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I began my teaching career at Draper Elementary in Eden where I taught 3-5th grade, working in a reduced sized classroom setting. I later found an opportunity to transfer to Dillard Elementary in Madison as they made their transition from a K-2 to a K-5 school. I taught 4th grade, worked with students and staff in adopting and learning new technology and also earned my AIG teaching certification. After spending several years as a Instructional Coach I earned my Master degree in School Administration from UNC-G and accepted the position of Assistant Principal at the school. I was later offered the position of Principal at South End Elementary in Reidsville where I had worked until moving here to Bethany. I feel very honored to have to opportunity to work within this community and school.
My goals are to ensure that Bethany students develop the skills they need to be successful in school, the workforce and life. The dedicated staff and great students of Bethany are fortunate to have this new state of the art facility with many technological opportunities which we plan to expand. I invite anyone to come and visit our campus to see how we challenge, change and mold lives daily through rigorus curriculum, project based learning, 21st century & leadership skill development.
