Message from Mrs.June Nealy, Principal

It is with great excitement that I look forward to the 2012-2013 school year and working with the families and staff of Leaksville-Spray. Our school continues to make progress and we are ready for the challenge of the new Common Core and Essential Standards that will be implemented this year. We are very proud to be recognized as a Reward School by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction for Progress for the 2012-2013 school year.

Our goal at Leaksville-Spray is to provide the best possible education to each student by meeting their needs through innovative and research based instructional strategies. The staff at Leaksville-Spray is committed to each and every student. I believe that teamwork and focus will continue to be the cornerstone of our success at Leaksville-Spray. This staff is dedicated and willing to continue their own learning in order to better serve students and we will all be learning together as we explore the new curriculum this year.

We welcome and encourage all parent, family and community involvement. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there is a need. It is a privilege to be the principal of Leaksville-Spray and I look forward to a wonderful school year.

I am very excited and feel blessed to be a part of the Leaksville-Spray Elementary family. As an educator for more than 22 years, I enjoy seeing children learn, grow and get excited about school. I believe that all children acan learn and should have every opportunity to be successful. I look forward to working with staff, students and families of LSE to have a successful and rewarding year.
