HMS Sponsored Two April "Hat Days" hat

One of our community service activities at Holmes Middle School, this charitable idea came from Josh F., a 7th grade student here at Holmes. On Thursday and Friday, April 14th and 15th, students could wear hats at school for $1.00 per day. Fifty percent of the donations went to the American Red Cross earmarked for Japanese earthquake victims and fifty percent went to a local charity to help those in need in our own community.

The first hat day brought in $200 while the second hat day brought in around $90. The money raised was presented to the American Red Cross to for Japan tsunami victims, and a portion was donated to benefit The Lord’s Pantry in Eden.

HMS Students Bring Smiles to Nursing Facility
