Battle of the Books
To promote a love of reading and establish a familiarity with some of the best literature for young people, the North Carolina School Library Media
Association sponsors Battle of the Books. Students in grades 6-8 volunteer
for the team, read the books, and then compete in a quiz-bowl-style tournament that tests their comprehension.
