The BFG movie will start promptly at 7:30pm and last until 9:30ish. You may bring blankets or lawn chairs to sit in since the event is held outside.
PTO will have snacks available for purchase.

Third quarter reading logs are due this Friday, March 21st to your child's teacher.
Your child may add the BFG to their reading log. If your child needs extra book titles for their log they can access free online books through SORA.
Students have access to SORA all year long and even throughout the summer.

We wrapped up an amazing Read Across America week with special guest readers, including our superintendent, district staff, and RHS football players Thank you for inspiring our students and showing that reading is for everyone!


Rockingham County Schools will be hosting the 32nd annual Elementary All -County Chorus at Western Rockingham Middle School tonight at 6pm and the doors will be open at 5:30pm. There is no cost for admission, but donations are accepted and greatly appreciated. Students from elementary schools all across Rockingham County have been working very hard preparing for this amazing event. Under the direction of Dr. Brett Nolker and accompanied by Ed Spencer, students will work together to transform 5 pieces of music into a beautiful performance for the community to enjoy.


Celebrate Read Across America by dressing as your favorite storybook character!


We are so excited to host or first family movie night. We will complete our reading of The BFG on Wednesday, March 26th and have our family movie night on Thursday, March 27th outside.
Families may bring blankets or chairs to sit in. Snacks will be available to purchase.

As a reminder the 15th Annual Catch the Reading Bug Community Reading Festival is Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 9 am - 2pm at Rockingham County Middle School!

Congratulations to our Battle of the Books team for winning the district competition. They will advance to the regional competition on April 5. We are so proud of you and know you will be great! Shout out to Mrs. Ward and Mrs. Wilson for all their hard work and support in guiding them along the way!
