School Improvement
At Moss Street Elementary, continuous growth is at the heart of everything we do. Our School Improvement Team (SIT) plays a vital role in guiding our school’s vision, goals, and progress each year. This team works collaboratively to ensure our students receive high-quality instruction, a safe and nurturing learning environment, and access to meaningful opportunities that help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
What is the School Improvement Team?
The SIT is composed of dedicated representatives from across our school community, including:
Teacher leaders from each grade level
Representatives from support staff
Parent representatives
School administration
Members are elected by their peers and bring diverse perspectives to the table. The team meets monthly to review school data, monitor progress, and make decisions that align with district expectations and state guidelines for continuous improvement.
Together, we develop and implement our School Improvement Plan (SIP)—a strategic roadmap designed to enhance teaching and learning, strengthen school culture, and ensure every student experiences success.
School Improvement Plan
Our School Improvement Plan outlines the goals, strategies, and action steps we use to improve student learning and overall school performance. This living document is housed in Indistar, a secure, web-based platform used statewide to support school improvement efforts.
Families and community members are encouraged to review our plan anytime. It is updated throughout the year as part of our ongoing cycle of reflection, implementation, and monitoring.
