Dear SES Families! Link HERE
In previous years, we were required to make up days missed due to inclement weather (e.g., snow days). This year, as in the last, we have the option to conduct remote learning for up to five days when school is closed due to such weather. To facilitate this, we will provide work for students to complete at home during these remote learning days.
To prepare for any inclement weather our area may experience, our instructional support staff and classroom teachers have diligently created activities for students to complete only on days designated in the weather announcements as remote learning days. Importantly, these assignments do not require technology and include a variety of activities.
Please keep this packet in a safe place and ensure that your child completes and returns the work only after inclement weather days. To be counted present for the remote learning day(s), students must submit any completed work upon their return to school. Given the unpredictability of tropical and winter weather, we wanted to be proactive in sending these packets home early.
For clarification, teachers will notify parents via Class Dojo when remote learning activities should be completed. Students should only complete these assignments when a remote learning day is announced. If you misplace your packet, an electronic copy is available on our school website and your teacher's Class Dojo Story.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher. Thank you!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Pruitt
