RCS Background Check details Would you like to go on a fieldtrip with your student? Rockingham County Public Schools Volunteer Process: https://securevolunteer.com/ROCKINGHAM-COUNTY-SCHOOLS/home Rockingham County Public Schools requires that a full background check be processed for any person wanting to act as a volunteer within the school system having unsupervised contact with students. For Rockingham County Schools, the background check process has two steps. The total cost for the entire background check process is $13.95. Once completed and approved, all background checks are effective for up to two years. Criminal Background Check This portion of the background check is offered online and must be completed through the BIB Secure Volunteer System from the link provided on the district/school website. The total cost is $13.95 which is paid online through a credit or debit card. After the BIB Secure Volunteer Process has been Completed After the registration process has been successfully completed, results will take approximately 2-3 weeks to be received. If the person submitting is approved, they will receive an email (to the email provided in step two of the process) stating they are now a Rockingham County Public Schools volunteer. There is no way to expedite the background check process; it takes a full 2-3 weeks for the background checks to be returned. Please be aware of this when planning to attend all field trips or volunteering/chaperoning opportunities within the school system.

Carline Reminder, Please do not pass in car line Dear Middle School Parents and Guardians, To ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families, we’d like to remind everyone of the no-passing rule in our carline during drop-off and pick-up times. Please do not pass other vehicles in the car line. Passing disrupts the flow and creates hazardous conditions, especially for students walking to and from vehicles. Our top priority is maintaining a safe and smooth car line for everyone. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to create a safe environment for our students. Let’s keep car line safe! Thank you for your attention and support. Have a great night!
