Welcome back to another exciting school year at South End Elementary! I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer break. As we embark on this new academic journey together, I am thrilled to share our theme for the year: Finish Everything You Start and Go for the Gold.
My goal for the 2024-2025 school year is to continue fostering meaningful relationships with students, parents, staff, and our community, with the aim of helping every child succeed in school and ultimately in life. We will provide the tools and resources for everyone to be successful, confident, and prepared for the next level. Learning is the key to success for us all. When given the skills and tools needed to help everyone reach their full potential, we open the door for student growth and improve our school overall.
To support this theme, our teachers will implement a variety of engaging activities and lessons that emphasize goal-setting and perseverance. We will also celebrate students’ achievements and efforts through special recognition and events throughout the year. Your involvement and encouragement at home will be crucial in helping your child embrace this mindset and achieve their personal best.
As we kick off the school year, here are a few important reminders:
First Day of School: Monday, August 26, 2024
Instructional Hours: 7:45am-2:45pm (Doors open at 7:20am - Tardy at 7:45am)
Open House: Thursday, August 22, 2024 - 3pm-7pm
Please ensure that your child arrives on time and is prepared for a day full of learning and engagement. Additionally, our school website, class dojo and social media pages will be regularly updated with important information and upcoming events, so please stay connected.
