Administration

Dr. Jennifer Hardin

Dennis Paschal, Principal

I am honored to be your Principal at Wentworth Elementary. I am a former Eagle, having attended the old K-8 school, so it is exciting and humbling to “come home” to where it all began.

After graduation from Rockingham County High School, I went on to Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!) to complete my Bachelor’s degree. I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2018 with a Master of School Administration as a participant in UNCG's Principal Preparation for Excellence and Equity in Rural Schools (PPEERS) program.  Before coming to Wentworth, I was an administrator at the middle school level for four years. Before that, I taught high school Social Studies. My entire career in education has been in Rockingham County Schools.

I believe that our students are the problem solvers of tomorrow. I believe every student can learn and that each one of them has something unique to offer the world. With this in mind, I look forward to working with all Wentworth Elementary stakeholders to help our students achieve their utmost potential and be successful in their own way.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I believe communication is essential and will return all phone calls and emails on the same day or within 24 hours.

Meredith Staley, Assistant Principal

I am honored to be named the assistant principal of Wentworth Elementary. My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Appalachian State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, and recently I graduated with my Masters of School Administration degree through the PPEERS (Principal Preparation for Excellence and Equity in Rural Schools) program at the University of North Carolina Greensboro.

I see myself as a lifelong learner and aim to inspire my students by demonstrating that learning is a continuous journey. I bring a core belief that students should be at the heart of all school decisions, and that strong relationships with parents, staff, students, and our community are essential for the school's success. Having taught at the elementary level, I am eager to return to my roots and collaborate with you all to uphold the continued success of Wentworth's students. Wentworth Elementary is a special place, and I am honored to be a part of its longstanding tradition of excellence.

I have been married to my husband, Cliff, for the past 14 years and we have two amazing daughters, Ella Kate (12) and Hattie (5). They keep us busy with various sports and activities, but I love watching them learn and grow. As a family, we vacation together whenever the opportunity arises and are always looking for our next adventure. I am an avid reader, love to cook, and enjoy attending concerts and festivals.
