My name is Jenella Johnson. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a BS in Elementary Education and completed my Masters degree in Library Science from UNCG in 2012. I have been teaching for 24 years. I taught fifth grade for ten years before moving in to the Media Center in 2009. Previously I worked in Charlotte and at Bethany as Media Coordinator. What's Happening in our Media Center
We are busy in the library with media and digital citizenship lessons, checking out books, a Book Fair in the Spring, Celebrating Read Across America Week in March in conjunctionn with the Read-a-Thon, listening to and voting for the NC Children's Book Awards, and participating in Battle of the Books for 4th and 5th graders.
Students enjoy our enhancement classes where they listen to stories followed by activities and lessons relevant to the topic, learn about Digital Citizenship and Internet Safety, browse and checkout books, and learn about how to use the library.
