A flyer promoting Mental Health Awareness Week features the Center for Safer Schools logo—an apple with a checkmark inside—at the top. The flyer announces "Wear GREEN for Mental Health" and explains that May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, with May 10-16 designated as Mental Health Awareness Week. The Center for Safer Schools staff will wear green on Tuesday, May 12, in recognition. The flyer invites all students, staff, and families in North Carolina traditional and charter schools to wear green in solidarity to help end the stigma around mental health. The CFSS will post photos on social media of participating staff members wearing green and encourages all North Carolina schools to share their own photos. Additional resources are listed as SAMHSA.gov and NAMI.org. Schools and individuals are asked to send photos to CFSS@cfssnc.gov(opens in new tab) by noon on Friday, May 15.
