Our first graders had some more community helpers come to visit! Local baker, Ingrid McCraw, & cosmetologist, Kisha Taylor, came to talk with our kids about their jobs and how they help the community.




RCS and law enforcement aware of the continued social media threats being reposted. These threats are not directed toward any Rockingham County School or any school whatsoever. Law enforcement has deemed the posts as not credible or a hoax.

Due to the heavy rainfall, localized flooding and isolated road closures, Rockingham County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, September 18th, Staff are to report at normal time, unless unsafe to do so.


Fifth grade students are learning about legends in media. After reading The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors, students participated in a rock, paper, scissors battle to see who was the last one standing.





Our first grade students are currently learning about community helpers. Yesterday, Law Enforcement/Coaches Neil Johnston, Brock Fox, Tyson Scales, and David Stepps stopped by Central to talk to the first graders about what they do!

Mrs. Wood's fourth grade class had some fruit loop fun while learning about math line plots.

Students from Ms. Sanchez's first grade class had loads of fun in the media center. They worked together to complete team STEM bin challenges together to practice Mrs. Holt's makerspace rules.
