What is Battle of the Books?

This fun reading program, designed to foster a love of reading, will encourage students to work together and read a wide range of high quality young adult literature. Once students have completed their reading and team training, they will then compete in an academic competition against other elementary schools in our district. All students are given an equal opportunity to participate on the team. The final competition team can only have 12 members, so throughout the year we will be assessing whether or not students meet each of the expectations listed in the "Student Expectations" section of this page.
