Our fourth and fifth graders have the exciting opportunity to become leaders through Student Council! Members represent their classmates, help plan school events, and play a key role in making our school a fun and welcoming place.

To join, students submit an application at the start of the school year, including a teacher recommendation and a handwritten essay explaining why they want to be part of Student Council and how they have shown leadership.

Meetings are held every other Thursday after school, starting October 2nd, from 2:45 pm to 3:30 pm. Punctuality and consistent attendance are important, as Student Council members represent the entire student body.

Student Council members get hands-on experience helping with assemblies, graduations, and school events. This year, they helped organize a sock drive with Mrs. Thackston and planned fun school spirit activities like Twin Day and Student/Teacher Swap Day. Being part of Student Council is a great way to make a difference, have fun, and develop leadership skills!
