Holmes Middle School

The next Driver's Education class will be held from April 28th to May 8th from 3:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Eligibility Students must be at least 14 ½ years old on the first day of class to be admitted. Email sthompson@rock.k12.nc.us with any questions. Registration will open on April 7th at noon. If you start the class and drop out or if you are asked to leave for behavioral reasons, you will not be allowed to sign up for the next session of classes offered, and another payment is required to enroll in a later class. Checks should be made payable to Morehead High with the student’s name on the memo line. The cost of the class is $40.

Happy School Social Worker’s Week!! We want to thank our School, Social Worker, Mrs. Boykin, for everything that she does for our students. We are so proud to recognize Mrs. Evans as Teacher of the Year! 🎉🐴 🍎 Brittany Evans: Mrs. Evans is an exceptional leader and team player. She works tirelessly not only for her students but for her colleagues as well. This year, she has led the math team with grace and dedication. When Mr. Epling retired, she stepped up without hesitation, ensuring his students continued to receive high-quality instruction. She has been teaching his math classes in addition to her own, all while offering support to her teammates and other students across the school. Mrs. Evans is someone you can always count on—whether it's answering an email, covering a class, or lending a helping hand. She is deeply invested in the success of every student, and her positive attitude and warm smile brighten our halls. Beyond the classroom, she is heavily involved in extracurriculars, including gate duty, Student Council fundraisers, and school dances.
