Rockingham County Schools would like your feedback about the attributes you would like to see in our next principal. They have shared a survey link for all families to complete. We highly encourage you to complete this survey so your voice can be heard. If at all possible, please complete by June 3.

As a way to celebrate our school reaching its fundraising goal of $8,000 this year, Mrs. Duncan agreed to kiss 2 frogs! Happy Fri-YAY!
🦁 Take home a piece of theatrical magic! ✨ Our Lion King props are looking for their forever homes, and you have the exclusive chance to own a special piece of our amazing production! Each prop tells a story of creativity, hard work, and unforgettable moments on stage!
All donations must be turned in by THIS FRIDAY, MAY 30th. We wanted to give time for cast members to claim props before offering them to our Douglass community, so we appreciate your understanding of this tight deadline!

The seniors at Morehead walked through our Douglass halls today to showcase their success of graduating high school to our current students. Congratulations to all those graduating in the Class of 2025!

This past Friday, our 2nd grade students primped and pampered their mothers and grandmothers as a way of saying thanks for all they do. Happy Mother's Day!
To wrap up our final day of Teacher Appreciation Week the Douglass PTO provided a catered Bojangles lunch to all teachers and staff. What a great way to end the week! #togetherweSOAR
Flashback Friday to last week's production of "The Lion King: Kids Edition". Our Douglass 4th and 5th graders put on a fabulous show with the help of our awesome enhancement staff. Thank you Mr. Blackmon, Mrs. Minuci, and Mr. Riddle for inspiring our students to be courageous and creative!
Public Information Officer, Daniel Crews, with the Rockingham County Government came to Douglass today to talk to our 2nd and 5th grade students all about weather!

Three incredible talents - Maria Andres Simon, Mary Pope Christman, and Layla Cedillo- dazzled the judges and earned well-deserved Judges Choice Awards! And talk about amazing... Elizabet Talavera took home a prestigious K-5 Best in Show award! 🏆
