What is PBIS?

PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. It is a schoolwide framework that takes a proactive approach to improve school behavior. This is done with teaching of expected behaviors and celebrating positive behavior! This is an evidence-based framework that aims to improve social, emotional, behavioral, and academic well-being. Monthly Celebrations

Each month, students have the opportunity to participate in a classroom celebration if they earn the required amount of Dojo Points. Classes and grade levels decide how they celebrate!

Student and Bus Rider of the Month

Each month, classroom teachers nominate a Student of the Month! These students are honored with their names listed on a board in the cafeteria.

Bus Riders are nominated by their bus drive. They are honored with their name on a display by the bus doors!

They all receive a certificate with this honor.

Semester Celebration

Each semester, students have the chance to earn a grade level celebration if they earn the required amount of Dojo Points!

Dolphin Links

Classes can earn a chain link each day from their enhancements teachers. Throughout the quarter, they can earn incentives as they reach certain numbers of links.

The highest earners also get shoutouts in our announcements!
