!Hola! Well-known as Señora Almeida by their kids. She has been teaching for 12 years.  As a native Spanish speaker, sharing the love for her language and culture has become her passion. She was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador where she attended Universidad Central del Ecuador, and got a master degree at Universidad Indoamericana. Additionally, she attended Kansas State University to get a language teaching certification.  She loves teaching Spanish and tries to bring much of her culture into the classroom as possible. Her students love to listen to music in Spanish in her class, learn about cultural differences and traditions, and have fun while learning a new language. She believes that a good education shapes not only minds, but hearts as well. And that by learning a different language and traditions, especially at this age, can make students more culturally appreciative and incorporate that respect into their daily and future lives. Her biggest joy is to see that self-confidence build up and put into practice when they role-play skits in her class, or when a student tells her that they were able to use what they learned in class and talked to somebody in Spanish!   She lives in Reidsville and enjoys reading, traveling, learning about other cultures and spending time with her family, especially her kids Leo and Callie.
