
Mrs. Daniel's first grade class presented their Pumpkin book projects to their parents and classmates. They all celebrated with a little party afterwards.
Mrs. Brim’s second grade class did a science experiment with pumpkins to see if they would float or sink.



Fourth grader Luke Dix brought lots of laughs to students and staff with his plunger hat 😂

First grader Scout Weddle brought in a pumpkin painted as Harry Potter for a class project.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage month, students wore sombreros, flower crowns, and hats for one of our spirit days.





Our fifth grade students have had a blast learning about mixtures and solutions in their matter unit.




Our 2nd grade students danced to the Cha-Cha Slide during recess to celebrate the start of Fall.

Our first graders had some more community helpers come to visit! Local baker, Ingrid McCraw, & cosmetologist, Kisha Taylor, came to talk with our kids about their jobs and how they help the community.



Fifth grade students are learning about legends in media. After reading The Legend of Rock, Paper, Scissors, students participated in a rock, paper, scissors battle to see who was the last one standing.




Our first grade students are currently learning about community helpers. Yesterday, Law Enforcement/Coaches Neil Johnston, Brock Fox, Tyson Scales, and David Stepps stopped by Central to talk to the first graders about what they do!



Students received a musical welcome this morning from Ms. Huss.

Mrs. Wood's fourth grade class had some fruit loop fun while learning about math line plots.
Students from Ms. Sanchez's first grade class had loads of fun in the media center. They worked together to complete team STEM bin challenges together to practice Mrs. Holt's makerspace rules.

Central Elementary Staff members will be stuffing the bus at the Eden Walmart by collecting school supplies for Rockingham County School students. If you'd like to donate some supplies, please come see us!

Beautification day with the help of PTA will be held on August 21st from 7:30 - 10:00am . We will use this time to spruce up the school inside and out with the help of PTA. Please come dressed comfortably. If you'd like to help, feel free to come out and help with bulletin boards, classrooms, or working outside!
