Re:  Online EOG, EOC & CTE Testing Information for 2026-27 

The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction continues to encourage the use of online testing for the 2026-27 school year.  In an effort to meet this goal, Rockingham County Schools will administer the following tests online during the 2026-27 school year:

Elementary:  3rd Grade - Beginning of Grade, Reading & Math, Read to Achieve

4th Grade - Reading & Math

5th Grade - Reading, Math & Science

Middle School:  6th Grade - Reading & Math 

7th Grade - Reading & Math

8th Grade - Reading, Math & Science

High School:  All High School Courses will be administered online including 

EOC and CTE  

IEP Modification Cutoff Dates:  1st Semester Testing - October 30th

  End of Year Testing - Elementary/Middle - Mar 24th

            - High School - April 9th

In order to accommodate the new tests that will be added for this year, the RCS Testing Department will provide training for test coordinators and teachers on how to properly access, administer, and prepare students for these online assessments utilizing released resources from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.  In addition, each test has an online testing tutorial with video that must be completed prior to testing to ensure students have been provided exposure to this assessment.    

Please make all involved stakeholders at your school aware of the changes in test procedures immediately to avoid any testing issues at the time of testing.
