Here is the schedule for our Awards Assemblies this week.

Happy Monday Douglass Families!
As much as we hate to lose Mrs. Duncan, we are now on the search for another principal to join our team! Rockingham County Schools would like your feedback about the attributes you would like to see in our next principal. They have shared a survey link for all families to complete. We highly encourage you to complete this survey so your voice can be heard. If at all possible, please complete by June 3.

Don't forget, starting tomorrow grades 3-5 will be taking their End of Grade tests. Get plenty of rest, eat a good breakfast, take your time and let's rock these EOGs Douglass Eagles!

The seniors at Morehead walked through our Douglass halls today to showcase their success of graduating high school to our current students. Congratulations to all those graduating in the Class of 2025!

Congratulations to all of our Kids of Character for the month of April! They did a great job of demonstrating integrity and honesty. #togetherweSOAR

This past Friday, our 2nd grade students primped and pampered their mothers and grandmothers as a way of saying thanks for all they do. Happy Mother's Day!

To wrap up our final day of Teacher Appreciation Week the Douglass PTO provided a catered Bojangles lunch to all teachers and staff. What a great way to end the week! #togetherweSOAR

Flashback Friday to last week's production of "The Lion King: Kids Edition". Our Douglass 4th and 5th graders put on a fabulous show with the help of our awesome enhancement staff. Thank you Mr. Blackmon, Mrs. Minuci, and Mr. Riddle for inspiring our students to be courageous and creative!

Public Information Officer, Daniel Crews, with the Rockingham County Government came to Douglass today to talk to our 2nd and 5th grade students all about weather!

The Collective greeted our teachers and staff at Douglass this morning with coffee, smoothies, & muffins. It's a good morning to be a Douglass Eagle! #teacherappreciationweek #togetherweSOAR
