PBIS
PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports) is a systematic approach to promoting positive behavior in our school. By teaching students our expectations and acknowledging when they do the right thing, we are able to focus more on preventing negative behaviors rather than punishment. At Moss Street Elementary, our expectations all revolve around the acronym CHOMP (Choose Kindness, Help Others, Observe Safety, Make Good Choices, Prepare for Learning).
BETA Club
We are so proud that we are now in our third year of hosting a BETA Club at Moss Street Elementary! Our students and staff involved in BETA continue to inspire me with their dedication to leadership, service, and academic excellence. Together, they are making a positive impact on our school and community.

Battle of the Books
Elementary Battle of the Books (EBOB) is a program for students in 4th and 5th grade. Students read 16 books from a predetermined list, together and at home, and come together to participate in a competition in which they demonstrate their knowledge of the books read.
Truth Sharks
The Truth Sharks club is open to all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students. They meet on Thursdays after school. This club is sponsored by Penn Memorial Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Reidsville.

All County Chorus
A group Moss Street Sharks attended an all-day clinic at Reidsville High School earlier in March. These students joined a large group of over 125 students from across the county to sing a fantastic concert. Selections from the concert included clever songs like Mary Had a Little Blues and fun, crowd-pleasers like Down in My Soul. We are so proud of these students for all of their hard work!
