Our PTO is working very hard to gather materials and organize our Trunk or Treat event on October 24th, 2024.
This year, we have partnered with McMichael High School students and other community members.
Our PTO is seeking candy donations for the event if you would like to contribute.
We are looking forward to our TRUNK OR TREAT event!
Also, the PTO is accepting funds to purchase Boo Grams until October 29th.

Thank you to Fire chief Jim Ritchey of the Madison Police Department and his wonderful staff for coming to Dillard and teaching our Kindergarten and first grade students about fire safety and the fire truck. We appreciate all you do for our school and community!

October 10th- Permission for students who will participate in the limo ride for the Read A Thon will go home. Please return these on October 11th to ensure your child's participation.
October 10th- National Bullying Prevention Day: Please join us in spreading kindness, peace, and love. Wear Tie Dye!
October 11th- Read A Thon limo ride for qualifying students. Students must return their permission form by 8:00 a.m. on the 11th.

In September, third and first grade began book buddies, where they read together. Everyone had an awesome time with their book buddies!

Ms. Martin was honored at our Teacher of the Year banquet last night! Ms. Martin, we are so thankful for you and proud of you!

The last week before Fall Break, fifth graders finished their water cycle unit with a read around the room scavenger hunt. They learned that our water today is the same water that has always been on our planet--Ms. Key assured them that it has been filtered since the time of dinosaurs!



Our Grandparents Literacy Luncheon sessions on September 9th and 10th were so much fun! Thank you to everyone who came to Dillard to celebrate with us!

Future Phoenix Night
Friday, September 13, 2024
Students from John W. Dillard Academy, Huntsville, Stoneville, and Western Rockingham Middle School will be admitted FREE with a paying adult.
Students must be accompanied by a parent.
$7 admission for adults. Tickets sales begin at 6:30 p.m.
The first 75 students from each elementary and middle school receive a Future Phoenix tee shirt when you sign-in at your school’s display table!
* WRMS Band playing with the High School Band
* Special Recognition of all students at Half-Time - and running the field!
* Game starts at 7:30 p.m.

GREAT NEWS! We have extended our Dude Perfect fundraiser based on a number of requests to do so. Our new Dude Perfect ending date will be September 5th, 2024.
Please see the attached flyers if you would like to participate.
Our Glow Party incentive for students will occur on September 18th (for students who earned this incentive based on the fundraiser). Other school-based incentives such as the limo and pizza lunch will occur after the first intercession. We will announce the dates as soon as we have confirmation from our vendors.
