McMichael High School members of the Technology Student Association visited Appalachian State University on Feb. 21st 2025 for the TSA Western Region Conference. Students competed in a variety of events. All members present won either Bronze, Silver, or Gold for their respective events.
Next students will attend the NC TSA State Conference, April 3rd-5th in hopes to qualify for the National TSA Conference this summer in Nashville TN.


The McMichael Volleyball team held their award banquet tonight.

📢 School Operations for February 21, 2025 📢
RCS will operate on a 3-hour delay for all students, staff will operate on a 2-hour delay. Childcare services will operate on their normal schedule.


RCS Alert: Due to worsening conditions, RCS is closed today (Feb. 20, 2025) for all students & staff. Students currently on an RCS bus will be safely taken to a school, and we will coordinate their return home. Stay safe!


RCS Update: The RCS 2-hour delay today, Feb. 20, 2025, includes all RCS childcare services. Our apologies for the additional message.


RCS Update: After evaluating road conditions & consulting local emergency officials, RCS will continue with a 2-hour delay for all students & staff on Feb. 20, 2025, including preschool childcare. We look forward to seeing everyone on our delayed schedule.

On Feb. 20, 2025, Rockingham County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for all students & staff, including preschool childcare. Any activities before the delay are canceled. We are monitoring conditions & will update if further changes are needed.


The Student health center will be doing free sports physicals on Wednesday, March 19th. All students must have a consent form and a physical form filled out in order to participate. These physicals are open to rising 9th graders through 12th grade students. All forms can be picked up in the Student Health Center. Please complete and return as soon as possible.
