About Reidsville High School
Reidsville High School opened as Reidsville Senior High in 1960 and merged with other county schools in 1993, becoming part of Rockingham County Schools. This merger enabled centralized management of all needs, ensuring equitable access across all county schools. In 1999, the school's name was changed to Reidsville High School.
The school offers a variety of sports for men and women, and the school currently competes as a 4A school. Students can extend their classroom learning and find ways to serve their school and community through clubs and organizations.
Student behavior is built on character traits, including respect, citizenship, fairness, trustworthiness, caring, and responsibility. The students and staff strive to display these characteristics in their daily interactions.
RHS achieved Exemplary School status for 1997-98, 1998-99, and 1999-00 through the North Carolina ABC program. RHS has met high growth for four consecutive years: 2008-09, 2009-10, 2010-11, 2011-12.
