New RCHS Assistant Principal

A Wentworth native, I attended Wentworth Elementary, Rockingham County Middle, and Rockingham County High, graduating in 2010.  After graduating, I attended Elon University where I obtained my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education.  I began my career teaching 3rd grade in Alamance County.  After my first year, I returned home and began teaching 6th grade ELA at Rockingham County Middle School for five years. In 2020 I transitioned back to elementary, teaching at Wentworth Elementary until 2024.  Most recently, I served as the instructional coach at Reidsville Middle School.  During my teaching career I have worked on the district connect teams for ELA and participated in the Teacher Leader Academy.  Along with my degree in elementary education, I hold a Master of Arts in English Literature from Louisiana Tech University (2019), an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Liberty University (2021), and a Master’s in School Administration from Barton College (2023).  This August, I will begin my doctoral degree in Educational Leadership through the University of Tennessee.  

Having had the opportunity to serve in the very schools I attended growing up fills me with immense pride. It's an honor to serve in the very schools that shaped my own educational journey and I look forward to collaborating with the dedicated staff, students, and families of Rockingham County High.
