This summer, a group of students, parents, and educators representing all four Rockingham County middle schools had the incredible opportunity to explore Italy through an educational travel experience led by Reidsville Middle School teacher Justin Conkle.

Over nine unforgettable days, travelers visited Venice, Burano, Murano, Pisa, Florence, Assisi, Vatican City, and Rome, bringing history, geography, art, and culture to life in ways that simply can't be experienced in a classroom. Students explored the Colosseum, admired Michelangelo's masterpieces in the Sistine Chapel, learned from local guides, experienced authentic Italian cuisine, and immersed themselves in the rich history and traditions of Italy.
