Ceara Hester is welcomed by Rockingham County Schools as its new public information officer (PIO). Originally from Augusta, Ga. and a graduate from Augusta University, Ceara came to North Carolina in 2021 to continue a career in broadcasting as a news producer. Her professional career in news began in 2019 in Augusta at WFXG FOX54, before it moved her to High Point where she worked with WGHP FOX8 and produced their 4 p.m. newscast. With years of experience in the broadcast industry, she is taking the skills she’s learned and putting them to good use as the PIO for Rockingham County Schools. She hopes to keep the community well informed and inspired by the wonderful things happening every day in our schools.
