Rockingham County Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Curtis Gore as the next Principal of Reidsville Middle School, effective July 1, 2026.
Mr. Gore brings more than 40 years of experience in public education and a proven record of leadership, student advocacy, and school improvement. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and educational leader in both North Carolina and Virginia.
Mr. Gore previously served Rockingham County Schools as Principal of SCORE Alternative School from 2012 to 2018 and as Assistant Principal at John M. Morehead High School. His leadership experience also includes serving as Principal of John M. Langston Alternative School and Assistant Principal at George Washington High School in Danville Public Schools. Prior to entering school administration, Mr. Gore spent more than two decades as a teacher, helping students develop academically, socially, and personally.
A graduate of Winston-Salem State University, Mr. Gore earned a Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. His commitment to education extends beyond the classroom through years of community involvement, youth mentoring, and service to local organizations.
