An open house is this Thursday, March 27th from 8:00am-2:30pm at Lawsonville Avenue Elementary School - 212 Lawsonville Ave, Reidsville. In an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving, Rockingham County High School hosted Prom Promise, a powerful live-action crash scenario. This event is designed to educate students about the real-life consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, especially on prom night. The simulation featured a full-scale emergency response from local agencies, including the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, North Carolina Highway Patrol, Rockingham County EMS, multiple fire departments, and a Life Flight helicopter. RCS would like to thank all agencies and the RCHS SADD for making this educational and potentially life-saving assembly possible!!

Bethany Elementary School student, Wyatt, designed a graphic for Participate Learning to celebrate International Education Week. His graphic design won a competition and was put on a sticker to share with friends, family and classmates! Participate Learning partners with schools across N.C., like Heritage Middle School, to prepare students for the world outside the classroom using problem solving, bilingual fluency and global learning.

Congratulations to our RHS boys basketball team for winning the 2A State Championship. The Rams have won 6 basketball championships including two straight and have a 60 game winning streak that will carry forward to next season! Congrats to Coach Ross and our student-athletes!
