On Feb. 20, 2025, Rockingham County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for all students & staff, including preschool childcare. Any activities before the delay are canceled. We are monitoring conditions & will update if further changes are needed.

Due to the forecasted winter weather, Rockingham County Schools has decided to reschedule today’s K101 Session at the Lawsonville Parent Resource Center to next Tuesday, February 25th, at 8:15 AM.

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, Rockingham County Schools will move to remote learning for students and staff February 19, 2025. RCS childcare services will also be closed. All after-school and optional activities are cancelled.
We encourage everyone to stay safe and exercise caution during this weather event.

The RCS Board of Education will hold a work session on February 24, 2025 at the RCS Central Administrative Offices in the downstairs Board Room located at 511 Harrington Hwy, Eden NC. The work session is open to the public and will begin at 1:00 pm.

The RCS Board of Education recognized Michelle Witt being recognized with the Junior Tennis Council Award Given In Honor of John Peddycord! This award recognizes the person who, through their efforts, has made the greatest contribution to junior tennis in NC!
The RCS Board of Education recognized Ms. Thompson and three of her students from Morehead High School for being 2024 Adobe Certified Professional Fall Qualifiers after winning 1st place in North Carolina!. This outstanding achievement has earned them a place in Certiport’s 2025 Adobe Certified Professional U.S. National Championship which will take place June 16-18 in Dallas, Texas!!
